Todays favorite verse is:
Revelation 21:6 NASB revised
Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
Imagine, Texas may be in drought but with God there is never a drought. He has lots of water. People, whether they know it or not, get thirsty for the water He can give, The Water of Life. I call that water, Jesus Christ, and the life is eternal.
There are many who think it is costly to them and that they have to work for it. There are even some who know God, who still think that work is what God requires for His gift of eternal Life and not even know it. We may talk faith but still have that nagging thought or inclination to need to Do something for God. That may sometimes be a good thing, but not in regard to “earning” Eternal Life. That is the world system, work and you get paid, rewarded and one usually has to be good at what they do to get paid for service rendered. In God’s economy system for sure Sin will be rewarded, but not in a good way. Sin demands death. The way I look at it is that if we are not God and we certainly are not, then we have Sin and death.
The Good News is that God gives living water, free of cost to us through Jesus Christ Who paid all that was owed.
Free indeed! No drought here.
