I believe we could or should if one feels compelled to do so, keep our eyes on the land of Israel if we are to discern the signs of the times. Why is this so? Let’s be blunt. If you are a believer in the Word of God and the God who sent His Son (who as a man was Jewish) to redeem mankind, then setting our eyes on the land of His birth would so profit us in the study of the times we live in. If you are a believer in the Word of God and the God who sent His Son (who as a man was Jewish) to redeem mankind, then setting our eyes on the land of His birth would so profit us in the study of the times we live in.
Prophecy is..a proclaimation or prediction of things that happen, have happened or will happen. The Bible is the source of a Christian’s Prophecy viewpoint. There are prophecy that has come to pass such as the many that relate to us that a Savior of the World would be born, who He is and when it would be. Prophecy is made before the event happens. The prophecies of the Lord Jesus first coming have been fulfilled. It was prophecied in the Bible and so have happened. There are other prophecies that relate to the Lord Jesus’ second coming and it will happen. The Book of Revelation tells us events leading up to His return as well as the things that will happen in the future surrounding His return. These things involve most of the world that is left.
The Church of today looks forward to a time when a prophecy is fulfilled in which the Lord Jesus returns in the clouds for those who are His own, the Church. This is only a first phrase in the excution of His second coming. It is the rapture.
Back to the topic, the bible is the story of Israel, a people called out by God to be His chosen. The Bible in the New Testament revolves around the Jewish Messiah who came to His people Israel. By and large, His people didn’t receive Him as such. After the Lord Jesus gave His life for the sin of the world, being buried and rising again from the dead, all those who believe and come to Him are now a part of the Church which awaits His return in the first phase called the rapture when He only appears in the clouds to recieve unto Himself His blood bought Church.
Israel has not been forgotten. Jesus Christ is still the Jewish Messiah. One day, probably within the days referred to in the book of Revelation, many will believe.
Anyway, my point is this, even within the Chruch there are many who have endtime views that do not see the Land of Israel as having any value in such things.
I do. As I have proven in the things above. The Bible begins with the story of man and God. It continues mainly with the chosen people of God, Israel. The New Testament starts out with the birth and life of the Jewish Messiah and continues with the people called out for His Name, the Church and ends with Israel. Therefore, if so much of God’s Word is so involved with Israel as a land and as a people, then why are they not a sign of end time prophecies? I believe they are.
Israel is and exists in their land and I believe. And things are happening. Read the Bible, the prophecies and then look at Israel.
